On Wednesday 13th November, we took 32 Y9 students to take part in a University Campus Experience Day.
We started in the Business school where we had a welcome and introduction session. In preparation of our campus tour students were given a sheet showing the areas to be visited. This was to help them to come up with questions to ask about each area. We visited the brand new Student Union Hub; which has only been opened this year. We were shown the sports facilities, cafeterias, library and even saw the brilliant research and lecture facilities. After lunch, we took part in a Future Pathways workshop where students started looking at the different degrees including Degree Apprenticeships and their entry requirements.
Our students had a good day and it has really set them thinking about what they want to do in the future.
