Thursday 28th November saw some our Y8 and Y9 students take part in a team building exercise. Students, were given a scenario where each team was based on opposite sides of a river, one team had to build a bridge and the team on the opposite bank had to build a vehicle. Once built the vehicle then had to cross the river using the bridge. Students were reminded that the bridge had to be wide enough to take the vehicle and long enough to span the river. The team building the vehicle had to make sure it was strong enough to carry equipment and not too wide as it would not fit on the bridge. Both teams were given just 30 minutes to complete the challenge.
Both teams set to work building their set piece, some students had a clear idea of how they would go about the construction others seemed to struggle a little. Their RAF mentors were on hand to give suggestions and guidance to help students to complete their challenges.
