On Wednesday 13th March, 24 year 10 students were given the opportunity to use a new virtual reality experience as part of their PSHE education. Earlier in the school year ,Pool Hayes students took part in a research session in which they shared their views on risk taking behaviour with Phil Hyde from the theatre in education company Round Midnight. Phil has used their comments to create an interactive virtual reality experience in which students were able to place themselves in a situation where they were meeting a new group of people and engage with them by making choices using their headsets. The students then went on to take part in a workshop where they talked through the decisions they had made and the consequences that ensued. All students involved were incredibly positive about the experience and look forward to welcoming Round Midnight back to our school for future projects.
