Wednesday 9th October saw us host our annual Aim Higher Careers Fair. Parents and students from Y10-13 were invited to school to talk to representatives from over 23 organisations, which included universities, colleges, training and apprenticeship providers, Army and RAF.
Students were able to find out about the various courses and pathways open to them. For many it was talking to the universities about degree courses and what A level subjects and grades they will need to get into university. Others favoured a more hands on approach, looking at apprenticeships and college courses for construction or mechanical engineering. Representatives from the NHS talked about the wide range of job opportunities offered in healthcare. Whilst the forces showcased their apprenticeships and undergraduate offers which included bursaries for a wide range of degree courses.
Feedback from our representatives was really positive they were really pleased with the turnout of students and parents and the quality of the questions they were asking.
Students and parents said the fair was really good as it gave them the opportunity to find out about the opportunities available to their children Post 16.
A big thank you to all of the representatives who attended you certainly.Back to News
